A Kick and a Miss

Whenever I'm working the register at Qdoba and people are using a credit card I always feel compelled to make small talk while the thing processes so we aren't just standing there staring at each other. Yesterday was no different. So when a tall, clean cut man came through the line and ordered for his family I didn't think much of it. When he gave me his credit card I checked to make sure the back was signed before swiping it. The first time didn't work and he read my face and said "I think something must be wrong with the strip, it does that a lot."

"You know, when that strip is broke that means you're using it too much." I said coolly.

"Tell me about it." He replied sheepishly.

So, I flipped the card over to manually input the numbers, only now looking at the name on the card. Who was this man whom uses his debit card too much? None other that Phil Dawson of the Cleveland Browns.
